• MRI Adjusted Procedure Calculation and Reports
  • Recently, Basha Diagnostics needed data to support Certificate of Need Standards changes that they were proposing. I was asked if I could calculate Adjusted Procedures as MDCH does and produce a report that broke down the data by payment source: Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial Insurance, etc. Within a couple of weeks, I created a utility to do just that and it can now be reused as a Service and modified to produce  similar reports based on the client's specific needs.

• MRI Referring Physician Available Adjusted Procedure Lists
  • Wiener Associates asked me to create these lists beginning in 2002, the concept was nothing new; however, I have dramatically improved the process and the lists are now more accurate and available faster then they were in the past.

• Physician Commitment Form Creation
  
  • The form creation process used to take as long as a couple of months for large batches when Wiener Associates were having these manually prepared. I automated this process in 2003 and it has proven to be 100% accurate to match the MDCH data due to the nature of automation while reducing the output time to a few days.

• MRI Quarterly Data Reporting
  
  • When United Medical Systems began providing Mobile MRI Service in Michigan, they had a single Host Site who was familiar with the MRI Quarterly Data Reporting requirements of MDCH and performed this function. As United Medical Systems expanded and gained host sites, the Data Reporting process began to get more complicated. New host sites that had never had service didn't have any systems in place for reporting data. It soon became apparent that they needed a way to collect data from all sites.
  • By utilizing my service, host sites are able to submit their data the way they always have, or if they're new to the process, they can use my user-friendly website that doesn't require codes be memorized and provides a centralized location to store physician contact information. The service includes validation of data and ensures error-free submissions. Advanced Search features allow for easy look-up when trying to find data that has already been entered. Reports are available to look at patient visits or MRI Procedures by quarter, month, or day. Customized reports are also available per client request.
  • Since creating this solution, other Mobile and Fixed Services, including Hospitals, are using it as well. I encourage every user to recommend ways to continually improve the website to make their jobs easier.
