My focus on Certificate of Need related data projects began in 2002 when I was
asked by Melissa Cupp at Wiener
Associates to create MRI Physician Commitment forms. I was instructed
to copy and paste physician information from an excel spreadsheet into
individual Microsoft Word documents to create the forms. This was a time
consuming task and I knew there had to be a better way so I developed a utility
to automate this process which not only saved time, but also ensured accuracy in
the process.
My tasks expanded in 2003 when United Medical Systems hired me to perform a
variety of MRI related data tasks. In addition to creating physician
commitment forms, I was also included in the entire process of obtaining new
Mobile MRI services. I analyzed the MRI Utilization Data, managed a small
team to obtain physician signatures, and used the data to continually monitor
and maintain strategies for the project. In addition, one of my other main
duties that I continue to perform for United Medical Systems is managing their
MRI Quarterly Data Reporting for their Mobile Services.
Majoring in Business Information Systems while obtaining my BBA from Western Michigan University, as
well as my desire to continually educate myself, has given me the knowledge to
solve problems for the many additional clients I have had the pleasure of
working with over the years. My recent projects include creating a program to calculate MRI Adjusted Procedures and
utilizing that tool to create reports showing Adjusted Procedures by Payment Source Categories. In addition, I am currently
upgrading my web-based MRI Quarterly Data Reporting to take advantage of
advancing technologies to improve functionality and security. Please visit
